Does a batería doméstica make noise? What are normal sounds and when does noise indicate a problem? Everything about nivel de ruidos, vibrations and the best placement location.
The short answer: yes, a batería doméstica does make noise — but almost always minimally. Modern LFP battery systems are designed for indoor use and typically produce less noise than a refrigerator (35–42 dB). However, there are situations in which noise or vibrations are more noticeable, and it is good to know what to expect.
Noise mainly comes from the fan (active cooling) and the electronic components (inversor, BMS). The intensity varies based on the system load, the ambient temperature and the charge or discharge speed.
Baterías domésticas produce the following sounds that are considered entirely normal:
Fan hum: a soft, consistent humming sound from the cooling fan. This is comparable to a computer fan. Occurs during high load or high ambient temperature. In many systems, the fan switches off during low load — silent night-time operation.

Electronic clicking or ticking sounds: brief clicking sounds when the inversor switches on or off are normal. Slight electromagnetic hum from the transformer is also normal. Persistent loud clicking or cracking is not normal and indicates a switching fault.
The following sounds warrant follow-up:
| Model | Max. nivel de ruido (dB) | Cooling type |
|---|---|---|
| Anker SOLIX Solarbank 2 Pro | 35 dB | Passive + small fan at peak |
| Dyness Tower T10 | 38 dB | Active cooling (fans) |
| Huawei LUNA 2000-7 | 30 dB | Passive (no fan) |
| BYD HVS 10.2 | 36 dB | Passive + convection |

Minimise noise disturbance with these measures:
For the vast majority of users, the noise from a batería doméstica is not an issue. When installed in a bedroom or living room, strategic placement (fuse box cupboard, utility room, garaje) can minimise noise transmission. If in doubt, choose a model with passive cooling or a noise rating below 35 dB.
